Eggplant vintage 1980s gown from the venerable House of Bianchi Boston. Bodice is eggplant velvet with a V-neck in front and deeper beautifully cut deep V in the back. Dress has large off-the-shoulder shawl style. Understated V at the slightly dropped waist with heavy gathering which flows into a full ballgown silhouette of satin. Boning in the the entire bodice.
The color is incredible and the construction is superb.
House of Bianchi was named for/by wedding gown designer was Phyllis Bianchi of Boston, MA where she received her training at Jackson Von Ladau School of Fashion in Boston and built House of Bianchi into one of the top 4 (per the New York Times) bridal/wedding dress companies in the US.
